Codor Design Showroom Opening Party!

It has been a big month for CODOR DESIGN with the official opening of our downtown waterfront showroom and event space Floor 13, featuring select pieces from the Codor Design Furniture Collection and the unveiling of the new line of Objet-Trouve Mirrors.

Each mirror is a unique creation comprised of found objects which are painstakingly coated with layers of plaster and paint...

At first glance they bring to mind the elaborate mirrors of 18th century Europe, but with closer study you will see they are thoroughly modern... Each mirror is a one-off creation and can be custom ordered and colored. To see the full line of mirrors visit our Dering Hall store front.

Smooth surfaces forgive regrets

As the air holds it's breath.

This year's Party in the Park benefiting the Seattle Art Museum was phenomenal!

The party coincided with the Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art show at the SAM and the artist-designed table's themes were the four Elements... We built a monolithic reflecting pool inset into a torched oak pedestal table, filled with blackened water. The effect was peaceful and delightful!

The Moss Table

Codor Design was invited to participate in the Seattle Art Museum's annual Party in the Park fundraiser at the Olympic Sculpture Park featuring artist design dining tables. The theme was Nature...Dinner guests ate on a soft bed of real moss collected from shaded rocks near Mt Si, while sitting on naturally felled stumps on wheels...A veritable caravan of white ceramic sculptures in procession became the inspiration for our Objet Trouvé Mirrors...
